Offer description

Community Integrated Care is currently seeking an experienced and confident Quality and Excellence Specialist to join the Quality team in Edinburgh. The role involves working with operational colleagues across local authorities to drive higher standards of care and promote a culture of continuous improvement linked to agreed standards, external research and best practice.


Responsibilities

* Champion person‑centred care across all services, promoting choices, respecting human rights and embedding equal citizenship.
* Provide critical reviews of care status, benchmark new services and validate management assessments.
* Conduct audits, action planning and reviews, guide remedial action planning and revisit sites to ensure quality improvements are achieved.
* Work with the Managing Director and Regional Managers to drive change, ensuring standards are understood and met.
* Partner with the Quality Strategic Lead on the development and delivery of Service Improvement aligned with CQC, CI, commissioners, funders and the needs of service users and their families.
* Deliver the quality audit program: conduct audits, spot checks, mystery shopping, write reports, produce recommendations and record actions in the quality monitoring system.
* Understand CI and local authority standards, support Service Leads in preparing for inspections and contract monitoring.
* Provide monitoring and reporting data on regional quality standards, analyze risks and concerns, and make recommendations for improvement.
* Support operational colleagues across the region and collaborate with the Quality Team to share best practice.


Qualifications

* Professional qualification in Health & Social Care.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.


Experience

* Experience managing a care or support related service.
* Experience of carrying out or being subject to regulated activity or inspections.
* A proven track record of person‑centred outcomes and delivering personalised support.
