Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Head of Business Support, based in one of our UK regional offices, to lead our business support team. This team includes Personal Assistants, Office Managers, and Administrators.
You will also lead our Technical Training Academy, ensuring effective delivery of technical training by liaising with our Technical Community and Learning and Development Team in our People Hub in India.
As Head of Business Support, you will oversee a team performing confidential administrative tasks, requiring initiative and sound decision-making. You should be capable of interacting with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Demonstrated experience in managing dispersed teams is essential.
Your Purpose:
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Leading a geographically dispersed team to manage workload peaks efficiently.
2. Applying consistent support approaches and driving continuous improvement.
3. Planning cover for leave, holidays, and sickness.
4. Supporting team professionalism through objectives and development plans.
5. Preparing reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence.
6. Organising corporate events and activities.
7. Monitoring mandatory processes and group requirements.
8. Managing governance meetings, including agendas, papers, and minutes.
9. Administering the Technical Training Academy in collaboration with the Technical Community and People Hub in Bangalore.
10. Building and maintaining relationships with global senior management and their EAs/PAs.
Skill Requirements:
* Experience managing people across multiple locations.
* Strategic resource planning skills.
* Ability to work independently and improve processes.
* Experience in report and agenda compilation, and minute organization.
* Knowledge of key business areas: risk management, finance, marketing, HR, customer management, governance.
* Ability to handle pressure and solve complex problems while managing conflicting priorities.

* Trustworthiness in maintaining confidentiality.
* Flexibility, approachability, and teamwork orientation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
* Effective time management skills.
* Experience supporting senior executives across time zones.
