We are retained by a large Top100 national law firm with operations in London and other key UK centres to support the strategic strengthening of its Banking & Finance practice. This is a meaningful strategic growth appointment, not a replacement — part of a deliberate investment in bolstering the firm’s core banking capability and market presence.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Banking Lawyer (e.g. Associate/ Senior, Legal Director or early Partner level) to join a market-leading practice and:
* Lead and advise on complex lending mandates
* Deepen lender relationships across UK and international banks
* Drive structured facilities, syndicated and bilateral transactions
* Provide commercial and pragmatic legal counsel on cross-border finance
The successful candidate will be visible within the wider team and supported by strong cross-practice collaboration, including corporate and restructuring specialists.
Your Profile
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
* Proven expertise advising banks and institutional lenders
* Significant experience in mainstream lending, structured finance and intercreditor arrangements
* A strong commercial mindset and ability to influence senior stakeholders
* A track record of delivering high-quality, technically sound advice
* Experience with lenders, surety providers or brokers is advantageous.
