The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Technical Lead todesign and build one of our leading greenfield products. You will playa strategic role in the architecture of the system including thefront-end applications, backend services and databases. The idealcandidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing andmodern .NET development, as well as demonstrable experience designingcloud applications. You should have a positive attitude and excellentcommunication skills to effectively share your knowledge.
Duties and responsibilities
The .NET Azure Technical Lead is responsible for the following:
* Collaborate with the Cloud Architect toexecute the cloud strategy as part of the software development process
* Provide architectural and technical expertise, direction, andassistance to the software development team
* Design, document,and implement changes to the system’s architecture to meet long-termbusiness needs
* Ensure that the existing system’s architectureis aligned with organisational goals and objectives
* Developproduct functionalities as part of a Scrum development team
* Analyse business and functional requirements for distillationinto technical specifications
* Respond to technical issues ina professional and timely manner
* Act as a mentor providingguidance to all team members on technical and architectural issues
* Ensure that the applications meet IES’ DevSecOps programmesecurity requirements
* Coordinate and lead applicationproduction releases
TheCandidate
The .NET Azure Technical Lead shouldhave the following:
* At least 6 years of hands-on experience in softwaredevelopment, preferably in Agile/Scrum teams
* Extensiveknowledge in .NET (Core 3.1 and newer), Azure, Docker, relational andnon-relational databases
* Demonstrated experience as atechnical leader
* Hands-on experience with businessrequirements gathering/analysis
* Experience designing anddocumenting software architectures
* Experience working in ateam-oriented, collaborative environment
* Effectivecommunication skills (written and verbal)
* Experienceworking with Azure DevOps and git
* Experience working withInfrastructure as Code (IaC) would be beneficial
* Exceptionalanalytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
* Abilityto conduct research into emerging technologies and trends
* Ability to prototype as a result of research
* Abilityto present ideas in audience-appropriate language
* Ability tomanage business and technical relationships with internal clients
