An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Assistant Manager Position within the Learning Disability Day Support Service within the Pathways service based at Quigley House
Pathways is a day service that utilises a base at Quigley House in Livingston and operates all across West Lothian Communities. Providing a range of meaningful supported activities that meet individuals\' outcomes and level of support requirements. This is done in a sensitive and structured way supporting individuals in group work to build confidence and explore their goals whatever they may be.
The successful applicant will lead the staff team on a full time, permanent basis to develop and deliver a stimulating individual outcome focused service in line with West Lothian Council and Care Inspectorate guidance, policy & procedure, as well as National Strategies.
For this post you will need to have a proven record of managing a team within the sector and extensive experience of supporting adults with profound and multiple learning disability ideally within the day support service. Evidence of how you demonstrate creativity in meeting the high level of support requirements of individuals in this service plus promote meaningful community engagement and experiential opportunities would be a significant advantage.
It will be essential for applicants to have had experience of working within management teams supporting Adults with a Learning Disability knowledge in care and support planning.
You must hold a min of HNC Social Care & SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
The post will be 36hours per week, working Monday to Friday on a set shift pattern.
You must be able to meet the essential criteria and communicate with a wide variety of people both verbally and in writing as well as have the ability to remain calm when working under pressure and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
