 
        
        Our client, a key player in the Water/rail sector, is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This full-time, in-office role involves frequent site visits with expenses covered, providing an excellent opportunity to apply your geotechnical expertise on high-profile rail and water projects.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements
 * Produce design calculations and drawings
 * Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates
 * Prepare design investigations, reports and specifications
 * Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional, and group standards
 * Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded
 * Undertake work using formal processes and procedures
 * Estimate hours required for design packages
 * Present and attend IDC/KM7 meetings and design presentations
Job Requirements:
 * Chartered engineer status
 * Experience in geotechnical and civil engineering design
 * Awareness of Ground Investigation (GI) and construction methods and materials
 * Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices
 * Experience working in the water or railway industries
 * Good geotechnical understanding, including the ability to produce GI specifications, interpretive reports, and design reports
 * Graduate or HND qualification
 * Good level of IT proficiency
 * Registered with a professional body and working towards chartership
 * Experience working in regulated infrastructure industries (e.g., rail, utilities, nuclear, highways, oil & gas)
