The Role
We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to help keep our world‑class manufacturing site running smoothly. In this role, you’ll take ownership of transforming maintenance plans into real, executable work—optimising production downtime, coordinating resources, and ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely and effectively.
You’ll also plan and manage non‑routine work, oversee contractors, and make sure jobs are clearly scoped, efficiently executed, and successfully handed back to operations.

What We’re Looking For
12. A technical background—either as a maintenance technician or engineer
13. Part recognition – from drawings, visual investigation and manuals.
14. Procurement of OEM parts from multiple vendors.
15. Experience of Risk Management and permitting
16. Confident PC skills, including SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and planning/production systems
17. Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to planning and scheduling (desirable)
18. An electrical background (beneficial but not essential
Key Responsibilities
19. Develop and manage the maintenance schedule, ensuring production downtime is used as efficiently as possible
20. Convert maintenance requests into clear, actionable work orders—setting technicians up for success
21. Manage and prioritise the maintenance backlog within your production area
22. Coordinate and oversee onsite contractors, ensuring outsourced maintenance activities meet Mars standards and best practice
23. Collaborate closely with operations teams and other planners to align priorities and maintain strong cross‑functional communication
