This Is An Exciting Opportunity To Join The Physiotherapy Team At Liverpool Hospital In a Permanent Full‑time Role Working Within The Emergency Department. As The Senior Emergency Department Physiotherapist, You Will Play a Pivotal Role In Delivering High‑quality Care In a Dynamic, Fast‑paced Environment. In This Role, You Will:
Work in both primary and secondary contact roles, providing comprehensive assessment and treatment.
Support patients across the entire age spectrum presenting with:
Musculoskeletal conditions
Orthopaedic injuries
Neurological presentations
Respiratory conditions
Aged care and frailty‑related conditions
Contribute to patient flow and care quality during a time of significant Emergency Department redevelopment.
Work within a shift pattern, including extended hours and weekends, to support 7‑day service delivery.
Provide supervision, mentoring and clinical support to Level 1/2 Physiotherapy staff.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve high‑quality patient outcomes in a busy and evolving clinical setting.

We're Looking For a Motivated And Experienced Physiotherapist Who Can Thrive In a Fast‑paced Emergency Department Environment. To Succeed In This Role, You Will Bring:
Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Extensive clinical experience and advanced knowledge in managing patients with: Musculoskeletal conditions, Orthopaedic presentations, Respiratory conditions, Frailty and aged‑care related presentations.
Proven experience in supervision and teaching, supporting junior staff and/or students in their development.
Commitment to professional development, continuous learning and the application of evidence‑based practice.
Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, research activities and contributing to service development initiatives.
Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling strong rapport with patients, families and multidisciplinary colleagues.
Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Selection Criteria

Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and recognised tertiary qualifications.
Extensive clinical physiotherapy experience demonstrating high level of knowledge and clinical expertise in the physiotherapy management of patients with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, respiratory conditions and the frail aged.
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality improvement, research and service development activities.
