Support Worker – Learning Disabilities
Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Pay: £13.68 per hour
Shifts: Day and Night shifts available
Contract: Temp to Perm
About the Role
Balfor Health and Social Care is recruiting caring and reliable Learning Disabilities Support Workers to support adults in the Loughborough area. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference and supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives.
You will be supporting adults with a range of needs, including:
1. Learning Disabilities
2. Autism and ADHD
3. Mental Health Conditions
4. Acquired Brain Injuries
5. Non-verbal communication needs
6. Challenging behaviour
7. Physical disabilities and mobility needs (including wheelchair users)
Your support will help individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and engage meaningfully in their daily routines and community life.
Shift Patterns:
8. 7am – 10pm
9. 8am – 8pm
10. 3pm – 10pm
11. 2pm – 10pm
12. Sleep-in shifts
Key Responsibilities
13. Provide 1:1 and group support in supported living and residential settings
14. Assist with personal care, medication administration, and daily routines
15. Promote independence and encourage skill development
16. Support individuals to access social, educational, and community activities
17. Build positive, trusting, and professional relationships
18. Deliver person-centred care tailored to individual needs and goals
Requirements
19. Minimum of 6 months’ experience within care, learning disabilities, mental health, or complex needs
20. Full UK driving licence (essential)
21. MAPA/PMVA training or willingness to complete training
22. Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach
23. Strong communication and teamwork skills
24. Full right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
