Post-16 SEND Support Assistant – Peterlee Area
Protocol Education are recruiting a Post-16 SEND Support Assistant to support students aged 16–19 within a specialist provision in the Peterlee area.
The provision focuses on preparing young people for adulthood, supporting students with additional needs to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.
Students may have a range of needs including autism, learning difficulties and communication needs.
The role will involve:
• Supporting students during vocational and life skills lessons
• Encouraging independence in daily living activities
• Supporting community access and social interaction
• Helping students prepare for future education, employment or supported living
Candidates should ideally have a DBS registered on the Update Service. If you do not currently hold one, you will be required to complete a DBS application through Protocol Education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
