We need enthusiastic, self-motivated, well-organised admin staff to join our dynamic team.
RightCare Barnsley SPA is based at Kendray Hospital, dedicated to ensuring Barnsley residents receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
This varied role involves receiving patient referrals from GPs, hospitals, and health professionals, processing them to the appropriate department, and liaising with clinical staff to ensure prompt and suitable responses to patient needs.
We handle over 500 contacts daily, answering calls from families, service users, and health professionals to facilitate the best patient care and outcomes.
Our operation runs 365 days a year, from 8am to 8pm. Flexibility to work on a rolling shift pattern including weekends and Bank Holidays is required, with each shift lasting 8 hours including a 30-minute lunch. The role follows a 5-week rota, working approximately 1 weekend in 5.
Note: At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration for sponsorship under a skilled worker visa. Main duties include:
* Receiving and distributing patient referrals via telephone/email and SystmOne, following departmental procedures and timelines.
* Accurately transcribing medical conditions, treatments, medicines, and patient demographics to support nursing staff.
Experience in healthcare is not required as full training will be provided.
