Our client is a well-established precision engineering manufacturer experiencing significant growth and is now seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their expanding team. This is a low-volume, high-variety environment, offering exposure to interesting, complex components rather than repetitive batch work.
The Role
As a key member of the machine shop, you will be responsible for:
Setting, operating and programming CNC machines (lathes and/or machining centres)
Working with Fanuc controls (essential requirement)
Producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances
Selecting tooling, carrying out in-process quality checks and maintaining documentation
Contributing to continuous improvement and departmental performance targetsHours
Monday - Thursday 07:00-16:00 | Friday 07:00-12:00
What We're Looking ForTo be considered, you must have:
Strong CNC setting, operating and programming experience
Proficiency with Fanuc controls (G & M codes)
Ability to work from engineering drawings and use measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers)
Experience in both milling and/or turning
A proactive, quality-focused approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a teamDesirable (Not Essential)
Knowledge of CAD/CAM
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (6S, SMED etc.)
Use of conventional machine toolsWhy Apply?
