What you'll be doing
You'll work closely with the team across a number of categories and taking the lead on smaller projects yourself. Day to day, that means:
* Pulling together data and market analysis to support buying decisions
* Drafting tender documents
* Engaging with internal stakeholders to understand what the business needs
* Analysing supplier bids and helping to build award recommendations
* Supporting supplier negotiations and contract implementation
* Acting as a go-to contact for suppliers and colleagues with procurement queries
* Helping maintain our supplier lists and making sure everything stays compliant with policy
* Keeping contracts and records well organised and up to date
What we're looking for
* Previous experience within procurement or buying experience (or working towards CIPS)
* A solid grasp of commercial and contract basics
* Comfortable working with stakeholders at different levels
* Organised, proactive, and able to juggle priorities
* Good with data and confident using Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or e-procurement tools is a bonus
* A team player who's also happy to take initiative
