Your new role
This is a key finance role, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering insightful monthly reporting, supporting re-forecasting and budgeting processes, and driving financial performance across assigned contracts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and present monthly financial reports with analysis of performance by activity/area.
2. Partner with operational teams to improve financial oues and coach financial awareness.
3. Support periodic re-forecasts and annual budget/business planning.
4. Conduct site visits to challenge and support financial performance.
5. Develop and implement initiatives to enhance regional financial results.
6. Provide analysis on customer reporting, ie movements, and contract extensions.
7. Assist with capital expenditure appraisals and financial modelling.
8. Drive process improvements and support new contract implementations.
9. Collaborate withmercial and Business Development teams on bid reviews.
10. Deputise for the Senior Finance Manager when required.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for amercially minded finance professional who is either qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of delivering financial insight and support, ideally within sectors such as waste management, utilities, or manufacturing. You’ll have excellent analytical skills and be confident working with financial systems such as SAP and reporting tools like Cognos BI. Strong Excel skills are essential. This role requires someone who can build credibility across operational teams,municate effectively at all levels, and influence decision-making. A full UK driving licence is required, as regional travel to operational sites will be part of the role.
