A leading global facilities management organisation is seeking a Mechanical Plumber to support operations at a major industrial client site. Thepany provides planned and reactive maintenance, technical engineering support andpliance services across large, high‑performancemercial and logistics environments.
Role OverviewThis role involves delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems within a large industrial facility. The Mechanical Plumber will be responsible for PPM, fault diagnosis, repair tasks and safety‑criticalpliance duties. You will work as part of an onsite engineering team supporting daily operations and ensuring building systems remain safe,pliant and reliable.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanned & Reactive Maintenance
1. Deliver scheduled PPM activities covering heating, plumbing and mechanical systems.
2. Carry out inspections, testing, troubleshooting and repairs across plumbing and mechanical systems.
3. Maintain domestic water systems inpliance with L8/Legionella standards.
4. Conduct routine plant room checks and ensure assets remain in optimal working condition.
Repairs & Technical Work
5. Diagnose and repair issues related to valves, fixtures, pumps, motors and distribution pipework.
6. Install and replace piping, fixtures and water systemponents according to technical drawings and regulations.
7. Maintain waste and vent systems using appropriate tools such as snakes or jet washers.
8. Ensure all works meet statutory, health & safety, and internal QHSE requirements.
9. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation using digital systems (, CAFM platforms).
Collaboration & Client Interaction
10. Collaborate with engineering colleagues, site teams and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
11. Support wider FM and engineering teams with additional operational tasks as needed.
12. Respond promptly to urgent issues and prioritise essential repairs to maintain operational continuity.
Qualifications & Experience Required
13. NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing (essential).
14. Proven experience inmercial or industrial mechanical/plumbing maintenance.
15. Skilled in maintaining pumps, motors, valves and mechanical plant.
16. Strong understanding of UK health & safety andpliance standards.
17. Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to specifications.
18. Basic IT skills forpleting digital job records.

Working Hours & Conditions
