Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Marshalls Land Systems and their team of Press Brake Setter/Operators, manufacturing mobile workspaces and their associated equipment. The role will be based at their facility in Cambridge (postcode CB5 8RX).
You will play an important role in high-profile military projects, and your ideas and contributions will be valued in a business where people really matter. Training will be provided on the products, with scope for further development and progression within the company.
Pay rate:
* Standard: GBP 19.69 per hour PAYE (holiday pay included)
* Over 37 hours: GBP 29.54 per hour PAYE (time and a half)
* Sundays: GBP 39.38 per hour PAYE
Additional details:

* Role inside IR35.
* Contract length: 6-12 months, with potential for extension and permanent prospects.
* Hours: 7:15 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Thursday, with a half-day finish on Friday.
Purpose of the role:
* Operation/setting of CNC and manual machine tools (brake presses, saws, laser cutters).
* Machining of composite/metallic components to high standards.
* Carrying out planned maintenance of machinery as per schedules.
* Tooling modifications and repairs as per manufacturing job cards and instructions.
* Ensuring all work is performed safely, following risk assessments and health & safety legislation.
* Training available to develop additional skills within the department.
Experience/Qualifications:
* Significant experience with CNC machines and manual machine tools.
* Press brake experience is highly desirable.
* Extensive experience in component part manufacturing/assemblies in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or time-served apprenticeship.
* Good communication skills.
* High standards of quality.
* Ability to plan and prioritize workload.
* Experience machining composite materials is beneficial.
* Flexible approach to work.
