About the role
Travelling will be essential for this role as the expectation is to cover sites in both Peterborough and Norwich.
* Act as the main coordinator providing comprehensive assessments and coordinating the resettlement plan from prison by liaising with relevant agencies.
* Serve as the navigator for these interventions and advocate on behalf of the service user.
* Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
* Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
* Provide advocacy for access to partnership services.
* Work with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self‑determination.
* Conduct comprehensive service‑user assessments, including mapping of community resources and developing individual action plans that clearly identify how achieving each goal will enable progression in addressing offending/substance use and reintegrating into the community.
* Work closely with prison security departments when assessing risk and develop strong links with partner agencies within the prison system.
* Collaborate as part of a team to identify people who have a history of substance misuse and reoffending resulting in custodial sentences.
About you
* Ability to obtain and maintain prison security clearance.
* Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working within a similar field.
* Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with good IT skills.
* Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
* Knowledge of anti‑social behaviour legislation.
* Experience working with people who have offending backgrounds, including Multi‑Agency Public Protection Arrangements.
* Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services and good practice.
* Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.
* Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
* Ability to travel between Peterborough and Norfolk.

Additional information
Requirements: Enhanced DBS check and HMPPS security clearance. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship; applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award. CGL points 23 to 28 (£27,861.26 - £32,002.35). Full‑time hours are 37.5 hours per week.
