The pastry team at the Chester Grosvenor is famed for the exacting standards, from our famous in house bakery, to patisserie, fine dining in Arkle and La Brasserie, we do it all here. Awards from 3 AA rosettes to BBC good food best afternoon tea and inclusion in the world famous 'La Liste' and we're looking for an ambitious and passionate Chef de Partie to work across all sections of this. Shifts will be mixed, including Bakery, Afternoon Tea, Restaurant Events.
Key Responsibilities
* Running a section efficiently, to the highest standards
* Keeping in line with the food hygiene rules and adhering to the food safety management system
* Working with senior team members to develop and keep consistent standards as well as leading less experienced team members to do the same.
* Prepare, cook and present dishes to the standard befitting of the Chester Grosvenor hotel
* Flexibility – we operate a 5 day working week across 7 days in a series of earlies and lates for a work life balance
Ideal candidate
* Experience in similar setting, from high volume to the finer details
* Ambition to improve and move forward, both individually and part of a team. We train from within at The Chester Grosvenor and want to have future leaders of our operation from this level.
* A good set of basic kitchen skills, the rest will be trained.
* A positive attitude, both willingness to learn and develop as well as be part of a well-motivated team.
* Wants to build on reputation of the Chester Grosvenor, the traditions, and be part of the future
* Good knowledge of food safety systems.

Although the existing building dates back to 1865, there has been an inn on this site since the late sixteenth century.
