Job Title: Teaching Assistants (SEN / Sports Focus)

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for permanent positions within schools in the Tavistock area. These roles range from full-time positions to part-time opportunities, including morning-only or afternoon-only hours.
Schools are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals who either have SEN experience or a strong passion for sports and physical education, to support pupils both in the classroom and through wider school activities.
The Role:
Supporting pupils within the classroom environment
Working one-to-one or with small groups, including pupils with SEN
Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour
Supporting physical education, outdoor learning, or sports activities (where relevant)
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or
A strong interest or background in sports, coaching, or physical activity
Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
