My client is looking for several Electronic Engineering Lab Technicians to join them on an initial 6-month basis. As the Electronic Engineering Lab Technician, you will be responsible for:
* Managing lab housekeeping, maintaining a clean and tidy lab environment, and assisting lab users with proper use of various stores.
* Managing projects scheduled to use the lab facilities, including determining requirements and durations.
* Assisting lab users with activities, monitoring tests, and undertaking CCA re-work activities according to IPC Standards.
* Maintaining and calibrating equipment/assets to ensure availability and usability.
* Assembling/disassembling test setups and fixtures.
* Training lab users on basic skills such as soldering, crimping, sleeving, cable lay-ups, and use of lab test equipment.
* Managing lab security to ensure access is restricted to authorized users.
* Engaging with stakeholders including all lab users, Project Managers, the Head of Capability/Product Line, Electronic Engineering UK Lab Manager, and the Electronic Engineering Governance Team.
* Coordinating with wider MBDA stakeholders such as Building Safety Zone Management, Logistics, Facilities Management, Calibration and Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Security.
Skillset/Experience Required:
* Prior experience in engineering lab management.
* Current IPC Certificates in J-STD-001 and IPC-7721.
* IPC-A-610 certification is a significant advantage.
* Good understanding of ESD management.
