South Rural Primary Care Network (PCN) are looking to welcome an experienced paramedic to the team on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours a week across 5 days. The role will be based at Needham Market Country Practice. Working within the community, as an autonomous, accountable paramedic, you will provide assessment, management and treatment to our patients. Duties will include; Assess, manage, treat, refer and/or signpost patients/service users who attend surgery with undifferentiated or undiagnosed condition relating to minor illness or minor injury. Use advanced clinical skills to provide education to service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment. Managing and treating patients presenting with minor illness. Triage and treat patients, making any necessary referrals to other members of the primary health care team. Advise patients on general health care and minor ailments. Perform investigatory procedures needed by patients and those requested by the GPs. Communicate at all levels within the team ensuring an effective service is delivered. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous healthcare records appropriate to the consultation. Actively participate in mentoring and supervision, plus practice-derived CPD opportunities. Contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the team and work colleagues. If a prescriber - prescribe/issue medications as appropriate following policy, patient group directives NICE (national) and local clinical guidelines and local care pathways. You will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Essential: Registered with the HCPC. Educated to degree/diploma level in Paramedicine or equivalent experience. Clinical skills qualifications or evidence of equivalent experience. 5 years post paramedicine qualification to include 2 years consolidation as a newly qualified plus 3 years' experience as a band 6 paramedic.
