Overview
Humdinger is seeking skilled Machine Operatives who are hard working with strong communication skills and the ability to meet manufacturing deadlines within a team environment. You will have worked in an FMCG/ Food Manufacturing environment previously with proven experience working with machinery. We transform coco, nuts, seeds, fruit, and pulses into snacks and chocolates for in-house label and branded ranges.
Location
Humdinger, Heckington, NG34 9JH. Situated in Heckington (Sleaford), with additional locations in Sherburn in Elmet and Bromborough as part of the Zertus UK & Ireland Snacking & Chocolate Market Unit.
Position details
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 36
Shift Pattern: Monday - Saturday, 3 on 4 off, 1800 - 0600 (12 hour night shift)
Pay range: £15.57 (Starting pay) - £16.62 /hour
Breaks: 3 x 20 minutes paid
Responsibilities
* Assist in the safe, efficient and accurate running of the factory machines such as industrial roasting/frying machines.
* Complete process control checks on machinery.
* Complete various paperwork accurately and neatly.
* Report breakdowns, and work with the Engineering team.
* Liaise with the quality teams and supervisors regarding any anomalies found whilst operating equipment.
* Ensure the safety, legality and good standards of the production facility.
* Role involves manual handling and lifting of ingredients up to 25 kg.
Qualifications and requirements
* An understanding of food safety; prior training such as Food Safety Level 2 will be beneficial, however, you will also receive this training via Humdinger.
* Machinery experience
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Experience within a factory environment (e.g., Production Operative, Line Leader, Machine Operative, General Operative, Machine Minder, Line Technician)
* Ability to work within a team to meet manufacturing deadlines
* Ability to lift up to 25 kg
