Health and Safety Officer – Estates Team
Salary: £31,493 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, all year round
Contract: Permanent
Location: Peterborough - some travel to Stamford when required

Overview
Inspire Education Group is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health and Safety Officer to join our Estates team. You will support a safe and compliant environment for staff, students and visitors across our campuses.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide health and safety advice and guidance to managers and staff.
* Carry out health and safety audits and inspections across departments.
* Review and maintain risk assessments, including fire risk assessments.
* Investigate accidents and ensure compliance with reporting requirements (RIDDOR).
* Support the development and implementation of health and safety policies.
* Deliver health and safety training and inductions.
* Organise fire drills and support emergency procedures.
* Monitor accident data and identify trends to improve safety.
About You
We are looking for someone who has experience working in a health and safety role and is confident working with colleagues at all levels. You will have strong communication and organisational skills and a proactive approach to improving safety standards.
Essential Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety.
* Level 2 qualification in English, Maths and IT.
* First Aid qualification.
* Full clean driving licence.
* Experience carrying out risk assessments.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable
* Experience within the education sector.
* Experience in health and safety auditing.
