What You'll Be Doing:

* Accurately and promptly preparing and filing customs paperwork.
* Responding to questions and educating customers about customs laws and processes.
* Closely collaborating with the shipping, logistics, and warehousing departments to guarantee prompt delivery.
* Keeping an eye on shipments to make sure they fulfil deadlines and customs regulations.
* Keeping track of all customs paperwork and submitting reports.
* Finding and fixing any inconsistencies in shipments or supporting documents.
* Ensuring that customs operations adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Maintaining open lines of communication with internal teams, clients, and vendors to guarantee efficient logistics procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
* Demonstrated expertise in the logistics or transportation sector as a Customs Clearance Specialist or a comparable position.
* Comprehensive understanding of international trade compliance and UK customs laws.
* Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to coordinate with clients and customs officials.
* Knowledge of customs systems and software, such as CHIEF and CDS.
* Outstanding organising abilities and attention to detail.
