DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First Line Manager - Stock Control to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
* To plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team, providing effective delegation, communication, leadership, motivation, training and development
* Manage daily operational functions and directly undertake such functions as required
* Ensure cycle counts are carried out to meet contractual requirements
* Daily team briefing to include customer news, site news and review of next weeks forecasts
* Recommend and where possible, implement operational process improvements
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

* Good knowledge of warehouse functions and WMS
* Good organisation, communication and planning skills
* Good understanding of H&S requirements
* Results orientated with a can do attitude
* Ideally a candidate who is able to start ASAP
A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
