The role:
As a Trainee Accountant, you will assist the finance team in a variety of accounting tasks, gaining exposure to audits, accounts preparation, and client advisory work. This role offers a great foundation for developing technical skills and working towards your professional qualifications.
Your key responsibilities as the Trainee Accountant:
1. Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements.
2. Supporting audits and client engagements.
3. Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and reconciliations.
4. Preparing VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks.
5. Providing support to senior accountants and partners.
6. Developing knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
The ideal Trainee Accountant will have:
7. A strong academic background, ideally studying or intending to study towards ACA/ACCA.
8. Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills.
9. Good organisational and time management abilities.
10. A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
11. Strong communication skills.
