Our client, a key player in the water sector, is currently seeking Civil Design Engineers with experience in water projects to join their team on a contract basis. This role covers a variety of AMP8 projects, particularly focusing on United Utilities and Anglian Water non-infra projects as well as some infra projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing and developing civil engineering solutions for water sector projects
* Working on a variety of AMP8 projects, including both non-infra and infra works
* Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
* Providing technical expertise and input throughout project lifecycles
* Utilising industry-leading software to deliver high-quality designs
* Conducting site visits and assessments when necessary
* Ensuring all designs comply with regulatory and safety standards
* Working flexibly and remotely, with a preference for those able to visit the Manchester office when required
Job Requirements
* Experience in civil engineering within the water sector
* Ability to work on a range of AMP8 projects
* Expertise in designing both non-infra and infra water projects
* Proficiency with relevant civil design software
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Flexibility to work remotely and travel as needed
* Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
