What You Need:
1. Ability to work successfully with students, staff, administrators and community members.

Responsibilities:
12. Design and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum that meets state standards, addresses various skill levels, and incorporates a variety of activities, including sports, gymnastics, dance, and fitness.
13. Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons that encourage student participation, skill development, and a positive attitude towards physical activity.
14. Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, physical skills, fitness levels, overall participation, and presentations.
15. Maintain a safe and organized environment by following safety protocols, properly handling equipment, and ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe manner.
16. Educate students on the importance of physical activity, nutrition, and healthy habits, fostering a lifelong appreciation for wellness.
17. Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.
18. Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.
19. Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
20. Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
21. Supervision of multiple students at once.
22. Establishing routines and procedures.
23. Effective oral and written communication skills.
24. Regular and predictable attendance.
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and/or other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Education:
25. Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Education, or a related field.
26. Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for elementary education with an endorsement in physical education.
27. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
28. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
29. Ability to inspire and motivate students to participate in physical activities and develop healthy lifestyles.
