We are seeking a confident, organized, and forward-thinking Medical Secretary Team Manager to lead our team of medical secretaries within the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Cheltenham and Gloucester. This key role involves:
1. Line management of Band 3 and 4 medical secretaries, including recruitment, supervision, and performance reviews.
2. Overseeing administrative workflows such as correspondence, bookings, referrals, duty rotas, and inbox management.
3. Maintaining high service standards with clear expectations for turnaround times, escalation procedures, and team flexibility.
4. Implementing and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures across sites.
5. Supporting digital initiatives like patient portals, e-prescribing, and automation to improve efficiency.
6. Collaborating with Consultant Psychiatrists, clinical leads, and service managers to ensure smooth service delivery.
7. Managing team diaries, including organizing annual leave and covering absences.
8. Supporting service planning and strategic initiatives to enhance administrative functions.
9. Promoting staff wellbeing, diversity, equality, and inclusion within the team.
