The Opportunity
This is a hands-on technical role (approximately 70% design work) with leadership development opportunities. Whether you are ready to step into people management immediately or prefer to grow into it over the next 12 months, we will support your career progression while you continue delivering exceptional electronics design.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead electronics design for new medical device systems - from concept through to manufacture
* Design analogue and digital circuits, schematics and PCB layouts (using Altium Designer)
* Work on microcontroller and FPGA-based systems across the full product lifecycle
* Develop test protocols, verification procedures, and design test jigs
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, and Project Management
* Drive product enhancements and manage design updates
* Support EMC, electrical safety, and regulatory compliance activities
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering (or similar)
* 7+ years in electronics design for system development
* Strong analogue and digital circuit design expertise
* PCB schematic capture and layout experience (Altium Designer preferred)
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-driven approach
* Experience creating specifications, test plans, and technical documentation
Highly Desirable
* Medical device or highly-regulated industry experience (ISO 13485)
* System interconnects (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet)
* DFMEA and risk management (ISO 14971, IEC 60601)
* Embedded software knowledge (IEC 62304)
