THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of HR to join the team at Wake The Tiger during this exciting time, as we expand the business to a multi-site operation, offering immersive experiences in Bristol and London.
You'll have at least five years in an HR leadership role and a minimum of three years' management experience, with a proven ability to lead, inspire, and drive people-focused strategies. As a strong communicator and collaborator, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment, bringing a proactive and strategic approach to HR.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Strategy & Leadership
* Develop and implement the overall HR strategy to align with business goals.
* Provide strategic HR leadership to support growth and organisational development.
* Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on all people-related matters.
Employee Relations & Compliance
* Oversee and manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair and legally compliant resolutions.
* Ensure company policies and procedures comply with UK employment law and best practices.
* Manage disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
* Lead recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
* Oversee workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
* Drive employer branding and employee value proposition efforts.
Culture, Engagement & Wellbeing
* Champion a positive workplace culture that aligns with the company's values.
* Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
* Oversee wellbeing programmes to support mental health and work-life balance.
Learning & Development
* Implement learning and development programmes to support employee growth.
* Identify skills gaps and create training initiatives to enhance performance.
* Promote leadership development and career progression opportunities.
Reward & Recognition
* Develop and manage compensation and benefits strategies.
* Oversee performance review and reward systems to drive motivation and retention.
* Ensure pay structures remain competitive and equitable.
HR Operations & Systems
* Oversee HR systems, data management, and reporting for informed decision-making.
* Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
* Ensure efficient HR administration, including payroll oversight where applicable.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Essential
* 5+ years experience in an HR leadership role
* 3+ years people management experience
* Min CIPD Level 5 qualified
* Demonstrable experience of shaping and driving a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practices, and compliance
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
* Experience leading HR initiatives through periods of change, growth, or restructuring
* Proficiency in HR systems, data analytics, and reporting for informed decision-making
* A proactive, solution-focused approach to HR challenges
* A willingness to travel to both sites (Bristol and London) regularly will be required
Desirable
* CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
* Previous HR experience in a creative, visitor attraction, or hospitality environment
* Experience in implementing wellbeing, mental health, and diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) initiatives
* Ability to lead HR-related projects, such as system implementations or organisational development initiatives
* Experience in leadership coaching and mentoring managers
