Are you a compassionate and driven professional with a passion for safeguarding? We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Safeguarding Team as a Safeguarding Practitioner within Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
This pivotal role supports the Trust’s statutory safeguarding responsibilities and plays a vital part in promoting the safety, protection, and wellbeing of children, young people, and adults at risk across our services. You will be at the forefront of safeguarding practice—responding to concerns, undertaking initial scoping, and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding processes.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking team, where your contribution will directly enhance service resilience, improve outcomes for vulnerable individuals, and support the wellbeing and development of colleagues.
You will work closely with the Head of Safeguarding, Paediatric Liaison Nurses, and Named Professionals to deliver high-quality safeguarding practice, respond to enquiries, and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding processes.
As a Safeguarding Practitioner, you will
* Provide expert advice and support to frontline staff and managers on safeguarding matters.
* Lead on initial safeguarding enquiries and contribute to timely and proportionate responses.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective safeguarding interventions.
* Support the development of safeguarding practice through training, supervision, and dissemination of learning.
