Security Officer
Maritime Transport - Blofield Road Felixstowe IP11 4AX
Hours: 24 hours per week, Saturday & Sunday night, 6pm to 6am
Salary: £12.21 per hour
We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Security Officer to join our team for an exciting new role in Ipswich. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to cover a single site, playing a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the facility while delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
* Reception duties and patrols
* Maintain immaculate appearance at all times
* Provide friendly, professional, courteous, and outgoing service
* Perform gatehouse duties, ensuring smooth vehicle entry and exit while maintaining strict control measures
* Accurately record vehicle details, update paperwork, and ensure compliance with client requirements and company protocols
* Regularly inspect the site, monitor access points, and conduct security checks as necessary
* Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or alarms, following established procedures and providing necessary assistance
* Adhere to security protocols and company policies to foster a safe environment
* Provide excellent customer service, assisting visitors, clients, and employees with inquiries
Qualifications
* A valid SIA license is mandatory. Applicants without an SIA license will not be considered.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle paperwork and update systems accurately
* Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues, visitors, and clients
* Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations and make sound judgments
* Flexibility to adapt to changing security requirements and work collaboratively with the team
* Full training will be provided for the specific site and duties
* Corporate Security, Concierge or Front of House experience for at least 1 year is an advantage
