You will join an established, supportive, and friendly HR Team which forms part of the Trusts People Directorate
The primary function of the role will be to support the senior management team in developing the workforce capability to deliver their strategic and operational business objectives.
You will be joining us as we embark on our new leadership model in our Service Delivery Units as we seek to embed strengthen a HR Business Partner approach with our leadership teams.
You must be able to quickly build effective working relationships and have the ability to cope in a busy operational environment, prioritising competing workload demands effectively.
You will be expected to have excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to quickly gain credibility with HR colleagues, managers, clinicians, unions and employees.

This is a permanent full time role of 37.5 hours per week (over 5 days per week) However, we will consider less hours/days per week for the successful candidate, but would require a minimum of 30 hours per week.
We offer a hybrid working model of working a combination of office, home and other Trust sites. The role will be based in Worcester.

Main duties of the job
The HR Team consists of Operational HR, Recruitment, Workforce, Workforce Planning and Health and Wellbeing.
The People Directorate at Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health & Care Trust is responsible for delivering our people strategy, policies, practices and people services.
Through this role, we want to strengthen our focus on improving the staff experience, and our culture and embedding a proactive and robust approach to managing and supporting our workforce.
You will join an established Team and act as a strategic change agent, supporting the senior management team within the Trust to engage and develop the culture required to deliver key strategic objectives whilst balancing the day-to-day operational demands of this role.

As a senior HR professional, you will be largely self-managing. You will develop robust human resources relationships with senior managers and corporate areas to influence, challenge and support service delivery and people strategies and monitor success.
You will develop a thorough understanding of the Service Delivery Units and their business needs and will act as an integral member of the service senior management team.

Experience
Essential
* Significant and demonstrable experience in a professional HR role.
* Significant recent experience in generalist operational HR issues including skill mixing, disciplinary and grievance investigations, management of ill health issues.
* A proven track record in the NHS and/or other public service.
* Experience of working closely with staff side organisations.
* Experience of designing and delivering HR training.
* Experience of a business partner model of HR service delivery.
* Experience of managing change.
* Experience of Managing staff
* Development and Implementation of Human Resources policies.
* Training skills.
* IT skills.
* Demonstrable experience of leading and managing complex TUPE processes.
Qualifications
Essential
* Fully CIPD qualified.
