We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading and prestigious packaging company located in Eye, Suffolk. Due to their continued growth and success, they are seeking to employ a Warehouse Supervisor to start asap.
Competitive salary offered dependent on experience.
Hours will be Monday to Friday – 9am till 6pm however, need to be flexible to cover holiday’s, absences, etc if required.
Reporting directly to the Transport Manager
Purpose and responsibilities of the role:
Your duties include receiving shipments of products, storing and managing inventory and dispatching goods to customers and end-users.
Responsible for expediting the supply chain of the clients’ products.
Your primary responsibilities are:
Support and facilitate the timely delivery of quality finished goods to customers, the efficient and safe storage of the Company’s finished goods inventory, and the effective management of inventory.
Cost effectively coordinates and manage local transport contractors and containers for export shipment.
Efficiently plan and coordinate the scheduling of the delivery of products to customers in accordance with relevant delivery schedules as well as maintain a means to track product quality, quantity and costs.
Work in conjunction with the Logistics Co Ordinator to effectively arrange intake of all container goods and store using the FIFO method.
Efficiently utilise warehouse space, materials and equipment, appropriately secure warehouse facilities and ensure that the warehouse is clean, tidy, orderly and maintained in accordance with acceptable housekeeping standards.
Manage all stock at all third-party warehouses and initiate a culture of client’s standards and Ways of Working to achieve harmonization between all clients’ storage locations.
Assure the final quality inspections on all outgoing warehouse stock are taking place.
Assist in the planning and scheduling of products for delivery, keeping track of their quantity, quality, costs and delivery dates.
Comply with the Company’s/ Department’s Quality Management System and the Health, Safety & Environmental Management System policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain a culture of safety awareness and safe work practices among subordinate team members including ensuring the work environment is hazard free and personal protective equipment is available and utilized appropriately, ensuring that employees adhere to safety policies and procedures as needed to minimize the risk of injury and enforcing and complying with procedures, rules, regulations and Company policy.
Other job requirements:
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
Valid UK Driving License
Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment, and be aware of and follow company procedures contained in the Employee Handbook.
Your key accountabilities to assist in achieving our Sustainability Goals/Targets:
Monitor and manage waste both Landfill and Recyclable to minimize our waste output, Trend these results so that they can be fed into the Smart Carbon platform.
