Offer description

Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and conscientious individual for the Connect to Work programme, an intensive support service for people with disabilities, long‑term health conditions, or other disadvantages, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions.


Responsibilities

* Serve as the first point of contact for programme participants via phone, email, and in‑person meetings.
* Receive, assess, and respond to referrals, providing basic information about the programme.
* Enter and manage patient data accurately and efficiently while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with the council’s data security policies.
* Process and record expenditure and handle petty cash.
* Support the development and improvement of the programme’s administrative processes.


Qualifications

* Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and in‑person contexts.
* Confidence in using computers and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* High level of accuracy in data entry and record‑keeping.
* Experience in similar customer‑facing administrative roles is an advantage but not essential.
