Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster. The primary purpose of this role is to greet visitors on the site and deliver exceptional customer service assistance, whilst also providing training course administrative support as required.
The role will involve working 20 hours a week, 4 hours per day on a 2‑week rota basis:
Week 1 – 8 am to 12 pm
Week 2 – 2 pm to 6 pm
Part‑time role, 20 hours a week Monday to Friday (4 hours a day)
Location: Faslane, Helensburgh
Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring all calls are answered in a professional and timely manner and redirected as appropriate.
* Welcoming visitors on site and signposting as necessary to the relevant department.
* Receiving, sorting and dispatching mail and acting on any deliveries.
* Maintaining building security policies and procedures; recording and logging all visitors on entry and exit.
* Updating the digital welcoming screen daily with course arrival information and welcoming messages for expected visitors and guests.
* Keeping all relevant Ministry of Defence (MOD) databases up to date.
* Providing administrative support to the training course teams.
Qualifications – Essential
* Previous front‑of‑house, receptionist or administration experience.
* Team player with initiative to work independently.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Confidence and ability to engage with customers and other teams.
* Strong administration skills.
* Knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn other IT applications.
* Ability to work the required shift pattern and weekends.
