Role Responsibility
Climate change is already affecting Kents communities, landscapes and water environment, creating new challenges and increasing the need for longterm, coordinated action. Our Energy & Adaptation Team supports partners across the county to prepare for these impacts and strengthen Kents resilience.
We are now seeking an Adaptation Pathways Project Manager to lead Kent County Councils involvement in the Pathways2Resilience programme. In this role, you will coordinate the development of a countywide resilience strategy, an adaptation pathways action plan and an adaptation investment plan: three key deliverables that will help shape Kents longterm approach to climate adaptation, particularly around water.
You will work closely with water companies, regulators, local authorities and environmental partners to codesign adaptation pathways, and act as the Councils main point of contact with the Pathways2Resilience consortium. The role also involves overseeing project plans, risk management and reporting, and ensuring Kent plays an active part in programme learning, workshops and capacitybuilding activities.
We are looking for a proactive individual with strong project management experience, a proven ability to work collaboratively across sectors, and a detailed understanding of climate adaptation and water resource management issues. You will be confident in facilitating workshops with diverse stakeholders, managing complex deliverables and producing clear, highquality outputs.
If you are motivated by the opportunity to help shape Kents resilience to climate change, and enjoy working in a fastpaced, collaborative and purposedriven environment, wed welcome your application.
