Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely updates to the accounting system
* Process accounts payable and manage vendor relationships
* Prepare and reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements
* Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations
* Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial regulations
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not essential

Pay: £12.50 per hour
