Position: Cleaning Operative, Alternative Provision (please see our website and the vacancies tab for further information)
Location: Penrith, Cumbria
Start Date: November*
Contract Type: Part time, 10 hours per week, term-time 38 weeks plus 3 weeks, (Easter holidays, summer holidays, Christmas holidays). Includes 5.6 weeks' holiday, spread across 12 monthly salaries.
Hours of work is 15:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £12.55 per hour

About The Role:
To deliver a high standard of cleaning across the centre, ensuring the areas are hygienic and clean for people to use. To always operate in a safe manner, observing company health and safety policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean learning areas, hallways, office, toilets, and communal areas as directed.
* Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum floors and surfaces
* Refill soap, handtowels and toilet paper in washrooms
* Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff
* Follow all health, safety and infection control procedures
* Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and appropriately as instructed Requirements:
* Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Attention to detail and commitment to high standards
* Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
* Understanding of hygiene and cleaning standards
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one before starting)
