Overview

This role is with Ogilvy UK, a global advertising, PR, influence and consulting agency focused on delivering impactful, cross-discipline campaigns. The role sits within the Advertising department in London on a 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time, reporting to the Business Director.

About the Role

We are searching for an adept Account Manager with substantial experience (preferably in the B2B space) who is used to managing integrated projects within a forward-thinking agency. The core focus will involve liaising with US-based clients to understand the ask, building the project scope, overseeing the development of materials, and helping develop project strategy, supporting research, creating messaging houses, overseeing creative production and all other aspects needed to deliver first-class work.

With a strong background in project management, your pivotal responsibility will be ensuring the flawless execution of projects from initial client briefings to delivering final assets. You will navigate complex project landscapes, offering guidance to cross-functional teams to adhere to milestones. Your skills in resource alignment, collaboration among creative and technical specialists, will help translate ideas into tangible results. You will provide strategic insight and dependable judgment to propel projects through evolving needs and challenges while aligning with broader business objectives. We are looking for a person our client will believe in and trust to deliver exceptional work.


The Client

Our client is a leading global payment technology company with a significant global presence. They operate across traditional payment services such as credit, debit, and pre-paid cards, and are expanding into new services and network opportunities, including digital identity services and embedding services into new apps. The work covers B2B and B2B2C marketing, building product propositions to support new product expansions, sales enablement toolkits, go-to-market plans, and the creation of advertising, activation, internal comms, digital assets, social, and content.


What You'll Do

* Efficient Resource Coordination: Act as the hub between agency departments, synchronising resources for optimal project execution.
* Holistic Project Oversight: Supervise the seamless execution of integrated projects ensuring impeccable completion.
* Proficient Project Management: Manage project setup, scoping, budgeting, and resource coordination while understanding the client's business model.
* Relationship Building: Foster robust relationships with project teams, the commercial division, and the PM Lead. Proactively address resource allocation concerns and monitor project finances.
* Risk Management and Collaboration: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring smooth delivery by collaborating with multi-agency teams.
* Industry Awareness and Meeting Arrangement: Stay abreast of project tools, processes, and platforms; strategically organise meetings to ensure comprehensive team participation.
* Exemplary Documentation: Maintain high standards of professionalism and accuracy across project documentation.
* Ownership: Demonstrate accountability and “you've got this” at every stage.


What You'll Need

* Research: Ability to generate insights through research and curiosity to uncover directions that steer interesting outcomes.
* Strategic: Build on research to contribute to the thinking behind solutions; work with the strategy team and share informed viewpoints.
* Familiarity with Project Management Systems: Practical experience using project management software and platforms for planning, task allocation, progress monitoring, and team collaboration.
* Stakeholder Management: Strong proficiency in managing clients, team members, senior management, and external partners; build enduring relationships for project success.
* Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Implement and refine QA methodologies within delivery processes and establish protocols for ongoing improvement.
* Decision-Making: Manage crises effectively and make informed decisions under pressure to sustain project momentum.
