Job Description:
Neo Property Solutions Limited is a recognised specialist in the provision of technically challenging passive fire protection solutions.
Our services include Fire Compartmentation Surveys, Fire Door Surveys, Fire Stopping and Fire Compartmentation Works, executed as part of a rolling programme of annual inspection and/or rectification works required across multi-occupancy housing, buildings of public amenity, healthcare facilities, education establishments, student accommodation blocks, and security-sensitive office buildings and workplaces.
Fire Consultants / Fire Risk Assessors (FRA)
The Fire Consultant will be employed on a “sub-contract” basis.
The Fire Consultant will deliver an excellent fire risk assessment report, act as a key point of contact for customers during the site visit, and ensure a positive perception of the company.
The Fire Consultant will undertake fire risk assessments for customers, make verbal recommendations on-site, and document them in the formal report.
Person Specification
* Full understanding of the current legislation related to The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
* Full understanding of relevant British Standards relating to fire and life safety systems
* Confident and self-aware with professional communication skills
* Able to build and maintain long-term professional relationships with internal staff
* Produce high-quality work and reports
* Effective organization to ensure timely delivery of reports
* Experience in assessing all types of buildings (Commercial, Industrial, Domestic) – 2 redacted FRA reports will be requested
* Excellent computer and electronic device skills
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate industry-leading fire safety knowledge for compliant fire risk assessments
* Produce accurate and efficient paperwork
* Collaborate with the admin team for effective practices
* Use best practice methods in assessments
* Ensure quality of service to customers and staff
* Stay updated with fire legislation and apply it to assessments
* Proven experience in completing Fire Risk Assessments
* Accredited to “Member” level - Institute of Fire Engineers or Institute of Fire Safety Managers, or on the IFSM or IFE “competent risk assessor” register
* High literacy and communication skills
* Plan and organize workloads to meet deadlines
* Hold a full UK driving license
* Additional professional qualifications in fire safety management and risk assessments from reputable providers
