About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing school in Brixton. You'll be supporting pupils across a range of age groups and learning abilities, including those with:
Autism (ASC)
ADHD
Speech, Language and Communication Needs
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
Moderate and Complex Learning DifficultiesYour role will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
Assisting the class teacher with planning and adapting lessons
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Encouraging independence and engagement in learning activitiesAbout You:
We're looking for someone who is:
âś… Experienced in supporting children with a range of SEN needs
âś… Patient, empathetic, and confident in managing challenging behaviour
âś… Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
âś… A great communicator with a proactive and flexible attitude
âś… Ideally holding a relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, SEN training)
