You will be working at HM Prison Hewell Grange for a facilities management and maintenancepany. Thispany ensures that all maintenance projects throughout the prison arepleted to a high standard.
Your new role
Your new job will be temporary to start with potentially leading to permanent based on performance. You will be carrying out planned and reactive maintenance. Some of the responsibilities will include installing and maintaining heating systems, repairing sanitation systems, fitting appliances and emergency repairs. All tools and materials will be provided, and you could be asked to work 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weekends, but the majority will be Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. Working weekends is paid at overtime rates.
What you'll need to succeed
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing is essential. Time served applicants or lower level editions will not be considered. The prison is looking for a qualified multi-skilled. Plumber/ fitter, ideally with maintenance experience working with PPM systems and Work dockets systems. You will be required to carry out varied duties such as reactive repairs & small planned projects and maintenance. What you'll get in return
You will be paid £20 per hour Including holiday pay, plus any overtime rates if you work weekends. This will be paid on a weekly basis. If your successful in the role there may be opportunities to continue with this role either in the same or a different establishment.
