Job Overview
Scholars School System, a project of UK Curriculum & Accreditation Body (UKCAB), is seeking a Health and Social Care Lecturer with Higher Education (HE) experience to join our Leicester campus. UKCAB is a registered charity established in 2006, with campuses across the UK including Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford, and Leicester. We are a national independent higher education provider offering programs from Foundation Year to Level 7, in partnership with institutions such as Leeds Trinity University. Over the past five years, more than 5,000 UK and EU learners have completed their courses, with a current student body of over 3,000.

Reports to: Associate Dean/Head of Department
Purpose of the Role
Due to growth, we are hiring lecturers for the health and social care faculty at the Leicester campus. Successful candidates will collaborate with staff to deliver an excellent student experience through innovative teaching, learning, and assessment methods. Industry and teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate, and/or professional levels is desirable.
Responsibilities
* Planning, delivering, and assessing student work to meet learning outcomes
* Developing and updating course materials
* Engaging in teaching, marking, assessment, and providing feedback
* Supporting colleagues to meet organizational and statutory requirements
* Collaborating with external partners and organizations
* Leading modules and related activities
* Adapting to different organizational levels as needed
Requirements
* Master's degree in Health & Social Care or related field
* Minimum one year of UK teaching experience
* PGCert / Fellowship in FHCA (Highly desirable)
* Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality education
* Experience in program development and educational leadership
* Supervision and support of student work
* Experience with assessment and feedback processes
* Familiarity with technology-enhanced teaching
* Organizational and leadership skills
Salary and Benefits
* Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience
* Basic hours: 9 am to 6 pm on-site
* Travel may be required
* 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Up to £5,000 annual incentives, paid quarterly upon KPI achievement after probation
* Annual salary increase of 3% upon meeting KPIs
