About the Role:
As a Futures Navigator, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 14-19 (and up to 25 with SEND) to overcome barriers and move successfully into education, employment or training.
You'll work directly with young people who need extra support - including those at risk of NEET, care experienced young people, or those facing social, emotional or practical challenges. Through tailored one-to-one guidance, action planning and partnership working, you'll help ensure no young person is left behind.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Providing impartial careers information, advice and guidance
• Supporting young people to set goals and create personal action plans
• Delivering one-to-one guidance sessions and small group workshops
• Building trusted relationships with vulnerable young people
• Coordinating support through schools, colleges, training providers and other agencies
• Advocating for young people to access the right services at the right time
• Tracking progress, recording outcomes and celebrating achievements
• Playing a key role in reducing NEET levels across Birmingham
