Fully Qualified Solar Electrician
Location: Reading
Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 depending on experience
Unify Renewables is excited to represent a growing renewable energy company that also has a large scale presence in the data centre industry across Europe. Our client is currently looking for a skilled Field‑Based Solar and Renewables Electrician. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, forward‑thinking organisation committed to delivering high‑quality renewable energy solutions across the commercial and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, test, and commission solar PV systems in domestic and commercial properties.
* Perform routine maintenance, fault‑finding, and repair of renewable energy systems.
* Ensure compliance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and other relevant standards.
* Carry out electrical testing and provide certification in accordance with 2391 standards (or equivalent).
* Work closely with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure high standards of delivery.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and practices within the renewable energy sector.
What We’re Looking For
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (essential).
* 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification or equivalent (desirable).
* Demonstrable experience in solar PV installation, servicing, and repair across domestic, commercial, and industrial settings.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with a commitment to quality and safety.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
