Farndon and Tattenhall Physiotherapy has been established for 15 years and provides high-quality physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions. We offer a first contact service providing assessment and diagnosis followed by a combination of manual therapy, practical advice, exercise programmes and evidence-based treatments to help resolve musculoskeletal problems or manage long-term conditions. We also collaborate with our own Personal Trainers to provide post-operative and sports injury rehabilitation, strength, conditioning and future injury prevention. Our services are offered at two rural clinics and have use of a gym if required. The team is led by Cathryn, who has over 35 years' experience both in the NHS as a First Contact Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner, and also in private practice working with professional athletes across various sports. Our clinic is dedicated to delivering exceptional care for people of all ages and abilities.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Specialist Physiotherapist located in rural Cheshire, within commuting distance of Chester, Wrexham and Whitchurch. This is a part-time position of 15-20 hours, with potential to increase hours over time. We are looking for a motivated, reliable individual who with strong diagnostic skills, a manual therapy approach to treatment and experience in exercise rehabilitation. This post is ideally suited to an experienced Physiotherapist already working in the NHS or privately who wants to work in a busy rural private practice. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and diagnosis, developing individualised treatment plans, and providing manual therapy and exercise prescriptions. The role also includes post-operative and sports injury rehabilitation, providing injury prevention advice, provision of clinical supervision and in-house training to our junior staff. You will need good communication skills both with our patients, local GPs and Consultants. You will be expected to stay updated with current evidence-based practices and contribute to the continuous improvement and development of our services. This may include staff training, patient audit, development of specialised exercise classes and providing content for our social media promotion.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in Physiotherapy (e.g. degree in Physiotherapy) and be HCPC registered.
* A minimum of 5-years post graduate experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Physiotherapy assessment & diagnosis of musculoskeletal pain and other unrelated pain (MSK masqueraders)
* Experienced in using manual therapy techniques, e.g. Maitland, Cyriax, myofascial work and muscle energy techniques.
* Experience in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and exercise prescriptions.
* Skills in post-operative and sports injury rehabilitation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to engage in marketing and business promotion and development.
* Provide training and supervision for junior staff
