Job overview
We seek Clinical Support Workers eager for new challenges. Our busy Emergency Departments care for diverse patient groups in areas such as Majors, Minors, Resus, Triage, Paediatrics, and the Clinical Decision Unit. We foster an inclusive, friendly, and supportive team environment.
Successful candidates will complete an Induction course, including all mandatory training, and are expected to be motivated, committed to high standards, and interested in professional development. Teamwork, initiative, and effective communication are essential.
Main duties of the job
We prefer candidates with hospital experience, but this is not essential. Requirements include GCSE English and Maths (grade C or 4), Care Certificate, or NVQ2 in health and social care. Your role involves delegated clinical procedures such as cannula insertion/removal, venepuncture, wound assessment, dressing changes, and urinary catheter removal, with training provided.

Person specification
Essential criteria:
* GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4, or equivalent
* Care Certificate
* Ability to undertake vital observations and escalate concerns appropriately
* Relevant experience in health or social care environment delivering personal care
Desirable criteria:
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent education and training
* Evidence of mandatory training such as BLS, manual handling, infection control, fire safety
