As anAdvanced Clinical Practitioner within Trauma, Orthopaedics, and Frailtyservices, you will provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, andmanagement for patients presenting with musculoskeletal injuries andfrailty-related conditions. You will work autonomously and collaborativelywithin the multidisciplinary orthogeriatric team to deliver holistic,patient-centered care.
We are seeking a candidate who:
Holds a Masters degree orequivalent in Advanced Clinical Practice
Has proven experience in traumaand orthopaedics, with demonstrable knowledge or experience working withinfrailty and orthogeriatric services
Demonstrates advanced clinicalreasoning with comprehensive understanding of musculoskeletal conditions andfrailty syndromes
Is skilled in advanced diagnosticand therapeutic procedures relevant to the specialty
Possesses excellentcommunication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
Holds current professionalregistration (e.g., NMC, HCPC) and adheres to high professional standards
Is committed to continuousprofessional development and evidence-based practice
Supporting and mentoring juniorstaff and students
Main duties of the job
Keyresponsibilities include:
Working closely with theorthogeriatric team to assess, manage, and coordinate care for frail patientswith musculoskeletal trauma and orthopaedic conditions
Conducting comprehensive clinicalassessments and developing integrated management plans for trauma, orthopaedic,and frail patients
Identifying frailty syndromes andimplementing tailored care pathways to improve functional outcomes and reducecomplications
Ordering and interpretingrelevant diagnostic investigations, including imaging and laboratory tests
Performing advanced clinicalprocedures relevant to trauma and orthopaedics
Collaborating effectively withgeriatricians, surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursingstaff, and other healthcare professionals
Leading patient education,rehabilitation, and discharge planning with a focus on frailty prevention andoptimisation of recovery
Participating in clinicalgovernance, audit, research, and service development within the orthogeriatricand trauma/orthopaedic services

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse/ AHP (Valid NMC/HCPC )
* Teaching qualification ENB 997/8 or similar
* Extended scope of practice
* Full MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalentComponents include:
* -Non medical prescribing
* -Advanced physical and consultation skills
* -X-ray interpretation
* -ALS provider
* MSK x-ray interpretation
* IRMER training
Skills & Abilities
* Advanced clinical assessment skills
* CXR radiography interpretation

* Ability to work under pressure, manage and prioritise workload
* Complex/ultrasound guided cannulation
Experience
* Significant post registered experience which should include experience in the specialist area
